Public Speaking

Spokesperson Coaching

Inform, Engage, and Inspire

My award-winning public speaking career began in middle school, when I was selected to anchor my school’s morning TV news and won a local Rotary speech contest.

Throughout high school, college, and post-grad, I’ve excelled in verbal communication — both prepared and impromptu — in formal Speech & Debate contests and other public-speaking opportunities.

I’ve competed and won in the prestigious National Forensic League, National Catholic Forensic League, and Ohio High School Speech League, where I was a state qualifier and district champion. Professionally, I’ve worked as an on-air journalist, host and DJ in TV, radio, podcasting, and live-streaming.

As an advocate, I’ve delivered powerful public comments (see an example below!) that have been used by other organizers during training sessions on how to give an effective public comment.

Being a public speaking coach has been a tremendous joy of mine for more than 15 years.

Whether I’m helping someone prepare for an important interview, a presentation at work, or a speech before a government body, I am passionate about enabling people to present the best version of themselves and their key messages.

I have a proven approach to developing your confidence and charisma.

We’ll focus on content as well as presentation. As a journalist, I can help you think about delivering engaging speech so your audience remembers your quotes and personal charm long after your interaction.

My personalized coaching is designed for your success in interviews, boardrooms,
and public forums.

Public Comment: Cleveland City Council
April 18, 2022

Results: Within a week of my public comment, the Mayor of Cleveland introduced legislation addressing the issue I raised.

Advocates had been making public comments about this topic for 4 months, and my impactful speech was a powerful motivator that pushed lawmakers to take action.

My speech was covered in an article by The Plain Dealer / Cleveland.com and a press release from Clevelanders for Public Transit.

Local news outlet Signal Cleveland named my speech one of the most memorable public comments of 2022.

[We] thought a comment from Robin Goist was one of the most concise of the many given on fare evasion. She did a great job of placing this issue in the context of racism as a public health crisis.
